Membership Mission Statement
I was raised in a Reform home, yet had the influence of my Orthodox grandmother. My husband was raised in a Conservative home. When I met my husband, while teaching at a Cherry Hill Day School, I knew that I wanted religion to be a bigger part of my life, than it was when I grew up. After we got engaged, we decided that a Conservative synagogue would be the right fit for us. We participated in services at all of the Conservative synagogues in the area. We felt an immediate connection while attending the Beth El service. After we were married at Beth El, we knew that the Beth El family would mesh perfectly with the family that we were about to create. In 1998, our girls were born and Rabbi Krupnick performed their naming and in 2001, he was present at our sons’ bris. Our four children attended the Early Childhood Center and now attend the Religious School. Throughout the years, we have enjoyed the support and warmth of Beth El. In 2004, we had a house fire, that displaced our family for 6 months. Upon hearing the news, Rabbi Krupnick, the staff from Beth El and members that we did not even know, called and offered any help that they could give, as well as, words of support. This outpouring from our Beth El family is something that we will always remember and be thankful for. Over the years, Beth El has proven to be a guiding force in our lives, not only religiously, but socially, as well.
